Counseling Services
Everyone needs help at times, whether you're preparing for marriage, dealing with anxiety, or battling depression. Asking for help can be challenging, but God cares about our whole selves. That's why we partner with Brent Ellens, PsyD, a Christian counselor in Holland. Believing in the value of counseling, Victory Point subsidizes the cost of these appointments for those who call Victory Point home.
Brent Ellens, PsyD
Brent is a fully licensed psychologist who graduated from Calvin College and earned his Doctor of Psychology degree from Wheaton College Graduate School.
Brent has been in full-time clinical practice since 2001, at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services and in private practice, and has been partnering with Victory Point since 2002.
Dr. Ellens considers it an honor to walk and work collaboratively with people as they navigate the sometimes difficult journey of life, working to problem-solve, process life’s challenges, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Dr. Ellens feels called to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, and from ages 12 and up, and has the experience and education to deal with a variety of issues, including: Anxiety, ADHD, Depression/Mood Disorders, Marital and Pre-Marital Counseling, Grief and Loss, and Spiritual and Religious Issues.
